WEBUS a mobile computer room for marginal areas. A project funded by the European Commission.
WEBUS is the first Italian experience of its kind, carried out in Friuli Venezia Giulia, thanks to the funding of the ESF, called WEBUS: an innovative formula regarding training.
With WEBUS the Cramars Cooperative of Tolmezzo intends to find a meeting point between the place of training and the populations living in particularly marginal areas, directly bringing training activities to the squares of small municipalities avoiding travel and giving the possibility to customize timetables, trying to involve as many people as possible: students, workers and businesses.
But what is WEBUS? It is a "mobile" computer room that provides 12 workstations with computers, an Internet connection and the possibility to attend ESF-funded training courses for free.

There is a problem of “social exclusion” for the inhabitants of the Municipalities of the high mountain ranges who suffer from objective and measurable causes of “disadvantage” compared to residents of other territories (for example, lowland or cities).
The WEBUSproject intends to experiment, through an innovative formula, the provision of training services, linked to new information technologies and aimed at people at risk of social exclusion.
It is a matter of bringing the place of training closer to the populations living in particularly marginal areas, reducing travel times (which particularly weigh on both students and workers), customizing schedules, offers and training types to the maximum according to the various locations and necessity.
WEBUSgives the chance to not renounce the classic methods of teaching and accompaniment of teachers and classroom tutors: a mobile IT classroom that brings training activities directly to the company, in the squares of small municipalities, in marginal villages, agreeing on timetables and contents of training activities.
With WEBUSCramars was one of the 10 most innovative companies in the FVG Region in 2004.
